GOP candidate for governor Tom Emmer has had some interesting things to say about wages in Minnesota's service industry. On his latest Tea Party tour, Emmer said that he would fight to make tips count toward the hourly pay for minimum wage since servers are making $100,000 per year with tips.
Where are these mythical six-figure jobs that supposedly benefit waiters, bartenders. barristas and other service-based staff who work for tips? Certainly not in Minnesota.
